Working with WITSML

WITSML

The EDM™ database allows for the exchange and integration of business objects across applications using WITSML v. 1.2.0, 1.3.1 and 1.4.1 objects. This exchange of data allows users to exchange data between Landmark applications a number of third-party applications who do not share the EDM data model.

The EDM schema currently supports:

the creation of OpenWire® Client software pipelines from the Well Explorer that load a limited number of WITSML v. 1.2 and 1.3.1 objects into the EDM database, directly from a remote WITSML Server. For more information on WITSML Objects and OpenWire pipelines, see Working with WITSML Objects and OpenWire.
and the import of WITSML Stimulations data from the Halliburton SUMMIT™ application into the OpenWells® application. For more information on the WITSML Objects imported from SUMMIT application see, Working with WITSML Objects in SUMMIT .

WITSML Import of OpenWells Stimulations tables are compatible with the WITSML 1.3.1 and 1.4.1 standards.

The OpenWells application currently supports the import of the following WITSML Objects:

Well (Export Only)

Select the Well in the Well Explorer tree and follow the menu path, File > WITSML > Export

Right-click on Well in the Well Explorer tree and select, WITSML > Export

Wellbore

Select the Wellbore in the Well Explorer tree and follow the menu path, File > WITSML > Import or Export

Right-click on Wellbore in the Well Explorer tree and select, WITSML > Import or Export

Trajectory

Select the Daily Operations report in the Report List or open the report and follow the menu path, File > WITSML > Import or Export

Right-click on Daily Operations report in the Report List and select WITSML > Import or Export

Fluids

Select the Daily Operations report in the Report List or open the report and follow the menu path, File > WITSML > Import or Export

Right-click on Daily Operations report in the Report List and select WITSML > Import or Export

Stimulation Jobs (1.3.1 and 1.4.1 Import Only)

Select the Stimulations report in the Report List or open the report and follow the menu path, File > WITSML > Import

Right-click on Stimulations report in the Report List and select WITSML > Import
