Progressing Cavity Pump

Reports

The Progressing Cavity Pump report is used to record pump installation unit stator and rotor details, anticipated or actual produced fluid details, rod component information, operations information and equipment status history.

A Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP) is an artificial lift equipment used to pump hydrocarbons or other fluids to surface.  The PCP report is part of a suite of artificial lift report including Conventional Pump, Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) and Gas Lift.  PCPs may be more cost effective than Electrical Submersible Pumps and may significantly reduce electrical operating expense and reduce pulling costs by extending the longevity of the pump. In addition to Wellbore Equipment reports and status history, completion engineers managing installation and operation of PCPs will use this report to record installation details and then monitor operations parameters to improve performance, reduce incidence of failures, and evaluate against other artificial lift completion types.
