General Section

Progressing Cavity Pump

The General section is used to define the exact location of the pump installation within the Wellbore in addition to the pump specifications and wellbore details. This sections contains the following areas:

Completion

Select the Completion associated with the PCP installation from the Completion Name picklist. This completion can be assigned to the report in the Create New Report Wizard at the time this report is created.

Installation

Enter or select the installation details for the Progressing Cavity Pump. The Landed MD, Landed TVD, Tubing OD, Tubing ID, Casing ID/OD, Tubing Length and Tubing Thread fields are automatically populated when the pump Component is selected from the assembly components picklist.

Assembly

The Assembly name defines the Wellbore Equipment assembly in which the pump is installed. This picklist is populated from completion assemblies described in  Wellbore Equipment reports.

Component

The Component defines the specific Wellbore Equipment component for the pump associated to the same Wellbore as the PCP Report. This picklist is populated with components entered for the selected Assembly.

Located Inside

The Located Inside picklist contains the casing or liner in which the Wellbore Equipment assembly is located. This picklist is automatically populated based on the selected Assembly Name.

Perforated Interval

Select an Interval from the picklist which is populated from the Wellbore opening associated to the Completion selected above. Selecting an Interval populates the Top MD, Top TVD, Base MD and Base TVD fields.

Pump

This area is used to record specific details for the PCP, including the Install Date. Enter or select the information for the PCP in the appropriate fields. If the PCP is later  pulled, record the Removal Date and the Pull Reason.

Details

This area is used to record additional specifications for the PCP, such as connection details, pressure, electrical details and temperature ratings.

TSH

The TSH is the stabilized fluid level when the PCP is stopped.

TDH

The TDH is the fluid level when the PCP is in operation.

TDH - TSH

This field is calculated as the difference between TDH and TSH.

Drive

This area is used to record details about the PCP drive.

  1. Enter or select details in the appropriate fields.

  2. Activate the Clamp check box if a drive string clamp is present.

  3. Activate the Lock Out Clamp check box if a drive head lock out clamp is present.

Pressures

This area is used to record several pressure readings for the PCP installation.
