OpenWells® Rig Equipment Editor

The OpenWells Rig Equipment Editor displays an image of the equipment on a Rig. This feature provides a simple way to locate, edit and enter Rig data in OpenWells, without having to navigate through the applications explorer tree.

Four variations of the editor are available: the land rig, the jack-up rig, the semi-submersible rig and the drill ship. The picture that displays is dependant on the type of Rig defined in the Rig Properties dialog.

Note: The image that appears for each Rig Type can be configured by the OpenWells System Administrator.

By default the following images appear:

The Rig Equipment Editor is accessed from the Edit Rig Wizard and the Create Rig Wizard.

The Rig image contains a number of links to each equipment type and a Rig Properties button.

Using the OpenWells Rig Equipment Editor

1. Click the button to edit the properties of the Rig.

2. Hover over a piece of equipment to view a list of the equipment on the Rig.

3. Click on a type of equipment in the image to add, delete or edit the equipment.
