Associate Rig to Daily Wizard
Wizards
The Associate Rig to Daily Wizard is accessed from the 
button on the Daily Operations report's Rig Equipment sections (e.g., Pump Operations section). This button is used to associate a Rig (via a Rig Operation) to the report (via the Event). This button is only available when a Rig is not currently associated to the Event.

Once the Rig is associated to the Event the operations data can be entered for the Rig's equipment in the Daily Operations report and the Well Planning report.
A new default datum and elevation can be established during the association using the Rig's default elevation.
To link a Rig Operation to the Daily report, click the button.
The Associate Rig Operation wizard appears.
Choose one of the following options:
Select an Existing Rig
This option allows you to select a Rig from a list of existing Rigs.
To select an existing Rig, select the Select an Existing Rig option.
Select the Contractor and the Rig from the picklist.
Click Next.
Create a new Rig
This option allows you to create a new Rig.
To create a new Rig, select the Create a new Rig option.
Click the 
button.
The Create
New Rig Wizard appears.
Select the Contractor where the Rig will be located under. Alternatively, if the Contractor does not exist, create it by entering the name manually.
Enter the Rig Name and Rig No.
Select the Rig Type. This field drives the image that appears in the OpenWells Rig Equipment Editor.
Click Finish.
The Rig
Properties dialog appears. Enter information on the Rig
and click OK.
You are returned to the Associate Rig Operation to Daily Wizard.
Click Next.
On the next screen of the wizard choose one of the following options.
Create a New Rig Operation Option
To create a new Rig Operation, select the Create a new rig operation option.
Activate the Create a new default datum checkbox, to create a new datum elevation for the well using the rigs default elevation. If the selected rig has operated on the well before the rigs default datum elevation may already have been created for that Well.
Click Next.
Enter the details of the new Rig Operations and click Finish.
Select a Rig Operation From the List Option
If the appropriate rig operation appears in the list select the Select a rig operation option.
Select a Rig Operation from the table to be linked to the Daily.
Activate the Create a new default datum checkbox, to create a new datum elevation for the well using the rigs default elevation. If the selected rig has operated on the well before the rigs default datum elevation may already have been created for that Well.
Verify that the information selected is correct and click Finish.
The Daily report is linked with the Rig Operation and the message "The Rig association was created successfully." appears. Click OK.
Rig Equipment can now be added to the Daily Operations report and operations information can now be entered against Rig Equipment in the Daily Operations report. The associated Rig Operation now appears in the Event Properties dialog, Associated Rig Operation tab.
