Drill Stem Test
Reports
Drill Stem Testing is a method of evaluating the productivity of a hydrocarbon bearing formation prior to casing the Well. It is an affordable means of acquiring logging data with real engineering pressure and flow data. The Drill Stem Test report is part of a suite of test reports including Pressure Survey and Test.
Some key benefits of running a Drill Stem Test are:
determine stabilized reservoir pressure - accurately generate reserve estimate
obtain a representative sample of the reservoir fluids.
determine the flow rate of the well (flow test and AOF potential)
determine reservoir properties: permeability, transmissibility, skin-factor, damage ratio, radius of investigation.
determine the well's producing capability prior to making a casing decision.
The Drill Stem Test report contains the following sections:
Once a section has been completed, activate the
Section Complete check box located
in the section header. A green check mark will appear on the section icon
