The Cost Estimate and Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) report is define estimated costs of activities taking place during an Event. These estimates can later be compared to actual costs.
This report is typically completed in the office by a Well Planning team, rather than in the field.
Daily Costs Note: A Cost Estimate & AFE report must be created before information can be entered in the Costs section of the Daily Operations report entry form.
An AFE is normally associated to an Event within each Well. OpenWells supports association of an AFE to multiple Events, which may occur on different Wells.
The Cost Estimate & AFE Report is divided into the following sections:
Once a section has been completed, activate the
Section Complete check box located
in the section header. A green check mark will appear on the section icon
() in the shortcut bar to indicate that
all data has been entered in the section.
