Directional Drilling Plan Section > Well Planning Report

The Survey Program tab uses a Detail Spreadsheet to record a listing of directional surveys planned to be run during construction of the Wellbore. The Survey Tool runs are listed in a spreadsheet in the order they are run and in which hole section or phase that they are to be used.

This tab displays information for the wellbore/sidetrack selected in the Current Wellbore/Design picklist. Changing the selected wellbore/sidetrack updates the information displayed in the tab.

Note: This section is read-only when the associated Design is locked or another application has the Design open.

Integration Note: Data entered in the tabs of the Directional Drilling Plan section are editable through the following applications: COMPASS, CasingSeat™ and StressCheck™. Changes made in OpenWells® software affects the other applications..

Survey Tool Spreadsheet and Details Area

Click the Add Row () button to add a row to the Survey Tools spreadsheet and complete the information for each planned survey tool run used in the planned well in the Details area.

Survey Tools appearing in this picklist are created in the Survey Tools tab of the Company Properties dialog in the Well Explorer.

Hole Name

The Hole Name picklist is populated with hole sections groups added in the Hole Plan section.
