Reports
The Fishing Report can be created by the rig supervisor when a fishing operation is required down the hole to retrieve equipment or clear out other types of obstructions. The rig supervisor can define the detailed activity listing independent of the Daily Operations report, which can be associated to a start and end activity from the Daily Operations Time Summary.
The Fishing Report contains the following sections:
General - Records the fishing operation association to the wellbore, wellbore obstruction and previous fish job, if applicable. This section also records the fishing operation type, cause, start and end times, reason, supervisors and whether the operation is successful.
Free Point - Records the free point measurements made of the fish assembly.
String Shot - Records the sting shot attempts on the fish assembly.
Wellbore Obstruction - Records assemblies lost downhole or the damaged sections of wellbore that prevent tool passage. This section of the report records the full work history of the fish assembly, its historical status and downhole makeup. Multiple fishing attempts and their effects on the fish assembly can be recorded.
Work String - Records the work strings used for the fishing operation.
Job Activity - Records a detailed time break down of the fishing operation, from start to completion, with no 24-hour time limitation for the operation.
Responsible Parties - Records a list of those responsible for the fishing operation.
Results - Records the outcome of the Fishing Job.
Remarks - Contains a memo field that allows free-form text entry.
