Stages Section
Cementing Report
The Stages section of the Cementing report contains a spreadsheet to enable one or more stages to be entered for the job. A cementing job can have one or more stages and each stage can have several slurries. Each stage and each slurry section contain different types of data depending on whether the stage is a foam job or not.
For information on using spreadsheets, see the Using Spreadsheets and Tables topic.
Cementing Stages
This area uses Detail Spreadsheets to record each stage in a cement job.
Click Add Row () or Insert Row (
) to add a row to the spreadsheet. For each cementing stage row, enter information in the Stage Details areas: Stage Information, Pumping Schedule, Schedule Details and, if applicable, Squeeze Details and Foam Details sections.
Stage Details
This area is used for recording stage summary information such as pumping rates, method flags, pressure and other stage information. Activate the check boxes to describe the corresponding details of the stage.
MD Top and MD Base
Enter the top measured depth of the stage and the bottom measured depth of the stage.
Note: The Administrator can configure these fields to be calculated based on the Slurry MD Top and MD Base of a defined fluid entered in the Pumping Schedule. When configured the application will use the minimum Slurry MD Top and maximum Slurry MD Base for the specified fluid.
For more information, see the Top Base Slurry System Settings topic EDM Administration Utility online help.
Squeeze Details
The Squeeze Details area is only available when the job type selected in the General section is Squeeze. If the cement job is a Squeeze type, enter the squeeze details in this area.
The pumping schedule is the sequence of fluids pumped during a cementing stage, including shutdown periods. Each stage in the cement job can have several slurries pumped. This area uses a master-detail spreadsheet to record each fluid pumped and the order they were pumped into the Well.
Click Add Row () or Insert Row (
) to add a row to the spreadsheet.
Enter or select the detailed information for each Fluid Pumped in the Schedule Details area and, if applicable, complete the Foam Details area.
Schedule Details
The Schedule Details section is used to record the details for each Fluid Pumped into the Well that is recorded in the Pumping Schedule area.
Foam Details
If the pumped fluid is foam, check the Foam Job check box to enable the Foam Details fields. Enter the detailed information for the Foam Job in the appropriate fields.
