Internationalization
OpenWells® Software Features
OpenWells software has been designed to support languages in all regions of the world. A number of EDM™ Administration utility and OpenWells software features enable customers to use and configure the application to meet their regional requirements. Changes made in the EDM Administration utility to support internationalization and usage of other languages in OpenWells software will not impact other applications such as COMPASS™ or WELLPLAN™ software.
OpenWells software is designed to work with the current Windows Regional Options locale. This enables date, time, and number fields to be displayed appropriately. OpenWells software provides comprehensive multi-language support in order to enable use in other languages. All Latin fonts are supported as well as non-Latin fonts such as Cyrillic and Chinese.
Customization for other languages can be accomplished using the Data Dictionary to customize Field Names and the Java Resource Bundle text string files to customize application labels. Additionally, Report Types and System Picklist values can be internationalized in the System Lookups area of the EDM Administration utility.
